Adding a secondary (POP) email account

To add another email account to your mailbox is simple and can be achieved in only a few short steps. First you must click on the start button to get to your desktop or laptop control panel.

Please note that this view is for XP Service pack three customers or Windows VISTA users only. Users with the "Classic view" have something that looks slightly different but works exactly the same way.

Steps:

  1. Click on control panel
  2. Click on Mail Icon
  3. Click "Email Accounts" (which will then show you the first page of the wizard you see below.

  4. Click New
  5. Select Top option of POP/SMTP/Exchange
  6. Enter your account details
  7. Click "Next" which wil start an automatic connection process that verifys your details with your service provider and confirms the account extists and no further subscriptons are required.
  8. Click finish
  9. Close Outlook to Restart it and when your in for the second time it will check for mail from this account every time you click send/receive
